1Sa 17:28-30…. and Eliab’s anger was aroused against David, and he said, “Why did you come down here? And with whom have you left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know your pride and the insolence of your heart, for you have come down to see the battle.” And David said, “What have I done now? Is there not a cause?”He walked over to some others and asked him the same thing and received the same answer.<\/p>\n
David had not been enlisted in the army. During his mission to deliver supplies to his brothers, he witnessed Goliath defying the armies of Israel.He challenged the Israelites to choose one person who would be able to fight with him. If he killed Goliath, the the Philistines would be Israelites servants. But if the contrary happened, Israelites would be Philistine’s servants.<\/p>\n
This is what prompted David to walk around asking what would be done to the person who kills Goliath and take away Israel’s reproach. The men answered him that the king would enrich him, exempt his family from paying taxes and would marry the kings daughter. But Eliab misread David’s intention and harshly reprimanded him. But instead of picking a quarrel, David walked over to some other men and asked the same question.<\/p>\n
Walk away from arguments that lead you to anger and nowhere.
\nWalk away from people who deliberately put you down
\nWalk away from the practice of pleasing people who choose to never see your worth .
\nWalk away from any thought that undermines your peace of mind.
\nWalk away from judgemental people, they do not know the struggle you are facing and what you have been through.
\nWalk away from your mistakes and fears, they do not determine your fate.
\nThe more you walk away from things that poison your soul, the healthier your life will be.
