Dan 6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.<\/p>\n
If there is a code which was famous in the history of the world , then it is the Hammurabi code with 282 laws most of which are so strictly severe that he was greatly feared. These laws set fines and punishments to meet the requirements of justice.<\/p>\n
The other code was that of the Persians and the Medes used on Daniel which could not be reversed.
\nAny laws or proclamations made could not be repealed. This means that once written and sealed , the law had to be followed to the latter. Some of these laws were specifically made to be a stumbling block to God\u2019s people .<\/p>\n
You could be facing some serious challenges and you strongly feel that your fate has already been decided. Is it that court case where everything seems to be working against you? Could it be that illness taking a toll on you and your finances ? Could it be issues within your family which seems to be driving you crazy and causing sleepless nights?<\/p>\n
May I remind you that the very laws of the Persians and the Medes were reversed not even once but twice because of the men of God who stood firm in the face of imminent defeat ( Dan 3:29, Dan 6:26,27) . Those written codes even if cast on stones can be reversed. Jesus undid all that for you more than two thousand years ago .<\/p>\n
