But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.<\/p>\n<p>A substitute is a person or thing that serves in place of another, such as a player in a game who takes the place of an injured. In his prophecy concerning the suffering of Messiah, Isaiah  presented a perfect and suitable illustration of what  Christ would  become on our behalf. As He hung on the rugged cross,His death wasn&#8217;t like any other ,but a  spiritual warfare  to  replace  executions meant for us  by our accuser.<\/p>\n<p>He took our  pain,suffering,condemnation, guilt sin ,transgression and iniquities and replaced them with health, comfort, righteousness , justification, ease and happiness. He granted us access where restrictions existed and  replaced the Curse  with blessings,lack for abundance ,sorrow for joy and all good things we need for this life.<\/p>\n<p>He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charges of our legal indebtedness which stood against us  us; he took  it away, nailing it on the cross.
