After Mt.Carmel victory experience, Elijah receives death terrorizations from Jezebel. He got afraid and fled. Tired, hungry, sleepy and with death wishes he slept under a broom tree. After heavenly provision was given, a forty days and nights journey was waiting to Horeb plus a return leg to Damascus for a series of anointing to Hazael, Jehu and Elisha .<\/p>\n
In our fast-paced world, exhaustion is often an unwelcomed companion in our journey. We grapple with physical and emotional weariness leading to a temporal or permanent stoppage from pursuing what we once longed to accomplish. Long overdue projects, stubborn set ups, chronic moments, career aspirations, job seeking coupled with future desires, service to God and humanity, spiritual growth, unanswered prayers amidst others can fatigue us.<\/p>\n
Learning from Elijah, it is of paramount importance to always ask for heavenly back up from the one who initiated the course, “I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will continue to perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus (Phil 1:6 ). We can join Marilyn Monroe and say, \u201cI don’t stop when tired, I only stop when I’m done”<\/p>\n
