{"id":5313,"date":"2024-01-23T09:15:00","date_gmt":"2024-01-23T09:15:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pastoralcarecenter.org\/newsletter\/wordpress\/?p=5313"},"modified":"2024-01-25T09:18:58","modified_gmt":"2024-01-25T09:18:58","slug":"dont-dwell-but-walk-through","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pastoralcarecenter.org\/newsletter\/wordpress\/2024\/01\/23\/dont-dwell-but-walk-through\/","title":{"rendered":"DON&#8217;T DWELL ,BUT WALK THROUGH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Psa 23:4 Yes, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff , they comfort me.<\/p>\n<p>The shepherd&#8217;s Psalm 23 is always fresh in the lips of many for its ever uplifting imagery of shepherd -sheep relationship .But of great striking note is verse 4 ,where the sheep are known to go through valley(s) of sunless ,fearful and clueless meanders , cascading falls,canyons  and gorges.<\/p>\n<p>Its worth noting that the Psalmist does not permanently  own, lodge or elect a tent in  the fearful environs  ,but categorically states that he passes through.What an encouragement.We all encounter valleys of different nature and intensity .But  seldom do we realise that they aren&#8217;t part of us but part of our journey.<\/p>\n<p>May the spirit of dwelling in the dreadful  valleys never be part of us. Let  whatever we experience  be part of &#8220;going through &#8221; and not &#8220;dwelling in&#8221;. There is no season that is permanent ; they all have a shelf life .
