Deut 1:9\u202d-\u202c10\u202d, \u202c12\u202d-\u202c13
\nAt that time I said to you, \u201cYou are too heavy a burden for me to carry alone. The Lord your God has increased your numbers so that today you are as numerous as the stars in the sky. But how can I bear your problems and your burdens and your disputes all by myself? Choose some wise, understanding and respected men from each of your tribes, and I will set them over you.\u201d<\/p>\n
As the lord blessed and increased their number ,the blessing came up with a heavy load and responsibility that required unique and distinguished men to carry.
\nMoses sought out for wise, respected and understanding men to bear it .These traits were the minimum threshold required.<\/p>\n
God’s blessings for his people can lead to greater burdens for them. The statement, ” this is too much for one person to handle ” is very common. Blessings and success if not handled well can be a springboard to other challenges. Unfortunately, even the church has not been spared either; ” harvest is great but the workers are few” ( Mat 9:37)<\/p>\n
The world today is still in search for such men . Social, economic ,family ,organisational and spiritual loads seems to be on upward trajectory on daily basis. May the blessings of the Lord equip and broaden our spiritual pectoral girdles so strong to withstand the crushing by the many responsibilities that comes with the convoy.<\/p>\n
