Eph 6:17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the spirit ,which is the word of God<\/p>\n
Paul was exhorting the Ephesians to put on the full armour of God both for defence and attacking purposes.Its worth noting that in these armours ,only one weapon is illustrated as an attacking weapon -the sword which is the word of God.<\/p>\n
Having our armory well equipped means stocking ourselves with the right word for every situation .There is none of the devil’s arsenals that can match the word of God.Equipping ourselves with defensive weapons may not send the devil away but using Jesus tactics, “it is written”, sends shivers down into enemies spine.<\/p>\n
Brethren ,take up the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God<\/p>\n
