Peter\u2019s miraculous release from prison is an event that left those who had been praying for his deliverance stunned and incredulous. When Rhoda, the servant girl, joyfully reported Peter\u2019s presence at the gate, the response was not one of immediate belief. Instead, they said, “You are out of your mind.”<\/p>\n
This story challenges us to reflect on our own responses to the miraculous and the unexpected moves of God. How often do we pray for God to intervene, yet when He does, we find ourselves struggling to believe? We may ask for a miracle, but do we truly expect one? Rhoda represents the kind of faith that believes in God\u2019s power beyond what the eyes can see. Even when others doubted her, she held fast to what she knew to be true.<\/p>\n
The idea of Peter being released and standing outside the gate was too incredible to believe. Faith often calls us to believe beyond reason; beyond what seems possible. The believers were asking for Peter\u2019s safety and release, but perhaps they didn\u2019t anticipate God to act in such a direct and immediate way.God\u2019s ways are not our ways. His plans are often beyond our comprehension, and His timing defies our schedules. We need to be open to recognizing God\u2019s hand in unexpected circumstances, even when it doesn\u2019t fit into our understanding.<\/p>\n
