2 Co 10:4-6 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds, Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.<\/p>\n
To punch back refers to the art of delivering a quick blow to someone or something ,to drive something forcibly, so as to weaken or destroy in an act of revenge .
\nThe enemy attacks by elevating and exalting evil thoughts in believer’s mind .The thoughts undergo a schooling to form imaginations and arguments. These two graduate to form strongholds which hold the believer in hostage.<\/p>\n
Paul exhorts the believer on how to fight back when the enemy uses this strategy to attack. He promises victory by employing lethal attack by use of mighty and catastrophic divine weapons .These weapons have the capacity to deliver quick and lethal blows to the enemy, pulling and casting down his empires and bringing his ideas into captivity. We are not weaponless to run away when the devil throws some jabs at us ,rather ,we are fully equipped to retaliate.<\/p>\n
“Stand, therefore, having your waist girded with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness, and your feet fitted with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, take the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,”(Eph 6:13-17<\/p>\n
