Jesus speaks in paradoxes that challenge worldly wisdom. Here, He turns the idea of life upside down; to find life, we must first lose it. This is not a call to physical death, but a call to surrender\u2014deep, complete surrender of self to God\u2019s will. What kind of life must we lose, and what kind do we gain?<\/p>\n
The “life” we are called to lose is one built around self\u2014our own ambitions, desires, pride, and plans. Jesus calls us to deny ourselves daily, not just in moments of crisis , but in the little choices where His will must come before ours.<\/p>\n
To \u201cfind life\u201d is to discover our true purpose, joy, and identity in Christ. John 10:10 (KJV) \u2013 \u201cI am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.\u201d The life Christ offers isn\u2019t merely existence, but abundance\u2014peace, joy, purpose and eternal hope. To lose your life in Him is to gain a new one, where Christ lives through you.Clinging to the world\u2019s version of life leads to loss. Life found in Christ is worth more than anything we leave behind.<\/p>\n
