Emotional intelligence is the ability to recognize, understand, and manage your own emotions while also being sensitive to the emotions of others. Scripture teaches that ruling your emotions is greater than physical conquest. Controlling anger, showing restraint, and responding with wisdom reflect spiritual maturity and inner strength.<\/p>\n
Joseph exemplified this in Egypt\u2014despite betrayal, he forgave his brothers and used his position to save lives (Gen 45:5). He mastered his emotions and responded with grace and perspective.<\/p>\n
Jesus too showed perfect emotional balance. He wept (John 11:35), showed compassion (Matt 9:36), and expressed righteous anger (John 2:15)\u2014never driven by emotion, but always directed by the Father\u2019s will.<\/p>\n
In a world dominated by reaction, emotional intelligence sets believers apart. It is not weakness but power under control. Those who walk in the Spirit must also lead with emotional wisdom\u2014for this is the character of Christ in us.<\/p>\n
