Jdg 6:12-13 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him and said to him, \u201cThe LORD is with you, you mighty warrior.\u201d
\nAnd Gideon said to him, \u201cOh my Lord, if the LORD is with us, why then has all of this happened to us? And where are all His miracles which our fathers told us about, saying, \u2018Did not the LORD bring us up from Egypt?\u2019 But now the LORD has forsaken us and delivered us into the hands of the Midianites.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Midianites had an upper hand against Israel. As a result, the children of Israel made for themselves hiding places\u2014dens, caves, and strongholds. Gideon was no exception. When visited by an angel and called a warrior, the worry in him was evident.<\/p>\n
The difference between being a worrier and a warrior lies simply in what you focus on. A worrier focuses on loss, failure, attack, fear, and what could go wrong. All these are pessimistic variables. A warrior, on the other hand, focuses on the positive and strategizes on how to overcome and triumph in every battle of life. They employ optimistic variables.When Gideon believed the word of the angel, he did exploits.<\/p>\n
If we allow ourselves to stay focused on God, our worrisome minds can be transformed into the minds of warriors – warriors for Christ.The battles of our minds and lives are real. The enemy knows that if he can make us doubt what God has already promised, our entire world can turn to chaos in the blink of an eye. As warriors, we must never allow the period at the end of God\u2019s sentence to be changed to a question mark by the enemy.<\/p>\n
