His act of zeal wasn\u2019t self-righteousness\u2014it reflected God\u2019s heart. Scripture repeats this pattern: \u201cAbraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness\u201d (Rom 4:3, NIV). Righteousness is not earned; it\u2019s credited by faith.<\/p>\n<p>This is the great exchange\u2014our sin for Christ\u2019s righteousness. As Luther wrote, \u201cOur sins are no longer ours but Christ\u2019s, and His righteousness is no longer His but ours.\u201d \u201cGod made him who had no sin to be sin for us\u2026\u201d (2 Cor 5:21, NIV). At the cross, our debt was cleared, and we received heaven\u2019s credit\u2014completely unearned, fully ours.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t have to strive to earn it. \u201cSince we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God\u2026\u201d (Rom 5:1, NIV). Your spiritual account is full\u2014not with your works, but with Christ\u2019s. Walk in that confidence.
