Paul’s words are more than metaphor—they express a spiritual reality where our true identity is concealed from the reach of the enemy. This hiddenness speaks of covering, covenant, and confidence. When storms rise, the believer anchored in Christ stands unmoved, unseen by the threats that terrify the world.

All throughout Scripture, hiddenness has been God’s strategy of preservation. Moses was hidden in a basket, David in caves, Elijah in the wilderness, and even Christ in Egypt. God hides not to isolate but to protect and prepare. As Dietrich Bonhoeffer noted, “Being a Christian is less about cautiously avoiding sin than about courageously and actively doing God’s will.” Hidden in Him, we are equipped to face life boldly.

This hidden life does not promise ease, but it guarantees endurance. Jesus said, “In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Our security is not in what we avoid but in whom we abide. When we are in Christ, we are untouchable by guilt, unshaken by fear, and unseen by the snares of darkness. We are held in the grip of grace.

Further Readings:
Exo 2:3
Psa 27:5
Joh 16:33

🙏 Blessed Week🙏
www.pastoralcarecenter.org

“For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.” Col 3:3 (KJV) To be hidden with Christ in God is to dwell in a place of divine security.
