Physical surroundings\u2014foreign lands, political pressures, or hostile authorities\u2014cannot stop God\u2019s purpose. Like Daniel, Jephthah rose from family rejection to deliver Israel (Judg 11:1\u20132), and Ruth, a widow in a foreign land, became part of the lineage of Christ (Ruth 4:13\u201317). Divine purpose flows from God, not environment.<\/p>\n<p>Daniel\u2019s life shows that excellence and obedience attract God\u2019s supernatural favor. Though exiled, he interpreted dreams, gained wisdom, and prospered under kings who did not share his faith (Dan 6:3\u20134). Similarly, Esther, an orphan in exile, was elevated to queen \u201cfor such a time as this\u201d (Esth 4:14). God uses even unfavorable circumstances to accomplish His plans.<\/p>\n<p>For believers today, this is a call to trust God\u2019s providence in every situation. Paul wrote that \u201cthe word of God is not chained\u201d (2 Tim 2:9)\u2014even prison could not stop the mission.
