Because he bends down to listen, I will pray as long as I have breath!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>God does not respond to prayer from a distance; He responds with nearness. The psalmist says God \u201cbends down to listen,\u201d a picture of compassionate attention. Heaven is not passive when you pray; the Lord leans toward your voice. To hear is awareness, but to bend down is care.<\/p>\n<p>Scripture shows this divine stooping again and again. God said, \u201cI have indeed seen the misery of my people\u2026 I have heard them crying\u2026 so I have come down to rescue them\u201d (Exod. 3:7\u20138). Hannah prayed silently, and the Lord heard her (1 Sam. 1:13,19\u201320). Blind Bartimaeus cried out, and Jesus stopped for him (Mark 10:48\u201349). God is never too great to stoop for someone who cries out in faith.<\/p>\n<p>This is our confidence today. Psalm 116 says, \u201cI will pray as long as I have breath.\u201d When you know God listens like this, prayer becomes a lifeline, not a last resort.
