He<br \/>\n abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.<\/p>\n<p>The expression &#8221; without me&#8221; denotes the same as &#8220;separated from me&#8221;. As the branches,  if separated from the parent stock can produce no fruits but would immediately wither and die, the same would happen if Christians are separated from Christ. <\/p>\n<p>This expression strongly implies our dependence on Christ. There is nothing for a broken off branch to do than wither and die. God can do without man but man cannot do without God. It will be considered a fallacy if we separate ourselves from him and expect to survive and bear  much fruit.
