Jeremiah 9:23-24 This is what the Lord says,let not the wise man boast of his wisdom,or strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches but let him who boast boast of this that he understands and knows me that I am the lord who exercise kindness ,justice and righteous on earth for in this I delight<\/p>\n
According to the prophet,there were three main areas in which boasting was prevalent in Israel. Wisdom ,strength ( physical and military strength) and riches .These aspects of evaluation makes one influential and noble in the society triggering boasting from within.<\/p>\n
God nullified the above criteria and stipulated a different type of boasting. Knowing God and his attributes equips us to be his children and gives us permission to utter praises about Him for he is our father.God’s foolishness is wiser than man’s wisdom ,his weakness stronger than man’s strength and his poverty richer than all the world riches.<\/p>\n
He is the source of wisdom, strength and knowledge. Our God delights when we understand who He is; that He exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth.<\/p>\n
