Psa 143:8 Cause me to hear Your loving kindness in the morning, For in You do I trust; Cause me to know the way in which I should walk, For I lift up my soul to You.
Spiritual senses are dependent upon God and heavenly knowledge comes from Him alone. To know the way we ought to take is exceedingly needful. If we don’t know the way we are supposed to take, we are likely to make wrong decisions.
That is why the psalmist petitioned God to cause him to know the way in which he should walk. When uncertain of the next cause of action, it is prudent not only to lift up our souls , but also our voices and eyes to Him and ask Him to show us the direction.
Surely the God whom we endeavour to lift up our soul will condescend to show us what He would have us do (The treasury of David) and the way we should walk. He will also cause us to avoid all the traps set by our enemies.
