Proverbs 19:2
It is not good to have zeal without knowledge, nor to be hasty and miss the way.(NIV)
Have you ever made a hurried decision, one that you did not take the time to think through carefully?
Have you ever set out to go in a direction that you did not take time to seek God, seek counsel from godly men and women? How were the results?
It is not good (Pleasant, agreeable, advisable) for us to be without knowledge. Making a hasty decision will result in a wrong direction and a painful conclusion to a situation. We take off in this direction with great expectations only to arrive with our hopes crushed by the problems we should have seen before we left.
The word knowledge here means; to have foreknowledge, discernment. This is the wisdom of looking into a decision and seeing ahead, what it will lead to in the end
Are you about to make a major decision that will affect your life; be it in business ventures, careers, education, marriage, associates and fellowships? Then don’t be in a hurry. Prayerfully involve God in the decision.
