Mat 2:13 Now when they had departed, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, “Arise, take the young Child and His mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I bring you word; for Herod will seek the young Child to destroy Him.”
Zacharias was informed about the birth of John the Baptist by an angel ( Lk 1:13).The birth of Jesus was announced to Mary by angel Gabriel.( Lk 1:30) When Joseph wanted to leave Mary because of her pregnancy, the angel informed him all he needed to know about it. ( Mat 1:20). It is the angel of the Lord who instructed Joseph to take the baby Jesus and the mother and flee to Egypt (Mat 2:13) A choir of angels appeared on the night Jesus was born( Lk 2:13)..
Angels are ministering spiritual beings sent fourth to minister to them who are heirs of salvation. They delight to do the will of God. They aid the children of God, attend to the afflicted and defend those trending on dangerous and trying paths. May you be a partaker of this great ministry in Jesus name!
