Mark 10:47-48 When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Many rebuked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
As Jesus , disciples and a large crowd, were leaving Jericho city, a blind man Bartimaeus was sitting by the roadside begging. By the look of things,he wasn’t complacent with this situation . When he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth passing by, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”. But many who had sound eyes never knew what he was going through. They therefore purposed to silence and deter him from being a “nuisance” to the master.
Although all of us may not be physically blind, many have never had their spiritual, financial, social and marital eyes fully opened. Though not comfortable with these forms of total or semi blindness, vast of us have been silenced by those who seem not to understand our predicaments.
Today we can ignore the surrounding opposition and noise by embracing our confidence in God. we can put aside that doubt and start believing that we were not born to be victims of our circumstances. You must tell yourself, “no matter how hard it is, I am going to make it”.
