Mat 10:29β31 (KJV) β βAre not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.β
Jesus offered these words to disciples facing hostility and uncertainty. His point was clear: nothing escapes Godβs careβnot even the fall of a tiny sparrow. And if God notices the smallest details of creation, how much more does He value you? You are not forgotten. You are deeply known, entirely seen, and infinitely loved by the One who formed you.
Hagarβs story in Genesis 16:13 illustrates this beautifully. Alone in the wilderness, mistreated and despairing, she encounters El Roiββthe God who sees me.β That name is not just for Hagar; itβs for you. No matter where you areβat the height of success or in the valley of sorrowβGod sees, and He cares.
Let this truth reshape your self-worth. If the Father has counted the hairs on your head, then nothing about your life is insignificant. When fear whispers that you are forgotten, faith must remind you: you are worth more than many sparrows.
