John21:6(KJV)And he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. They cast therefore, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes.
Douglas Jiveti sang and said ” Life is full of perplexing situations……..” This scenario where the disciples toil all night mimics the very perplexity of life. Although they were professionals in their trade,they needed to consult the professor of all professions . Like the disciples, we are busy in the rat race to make ends meet. Sometimes we succeed and more often than not we fail and get discouraged. Imagine the frustration of working all night for nothing.
Jesus came knowing full well what was going on. He simply asked them to cast their nets on the right side. It is not that they had not done that yet, but his presence in that instance made All the difference.
Friends, let’s have Jesus by our side even when “it’s a sure bet ” as they say. Success can only be guaranteed when he is by our side. The perplexities of life will be made simple when Jesus is our companion. He will always intervene on our behalf.
