Act 3:6 Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”Act 3:7 And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. Act 3:8 So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them — walking, leaping, and praising God.
The word supernatural means beyond and above the natural. This is where God operates. It is the realm where the heaven and earth intermingle; the realm of interaction between God and man The supernatural realm is where God reveals to us what happens behind the physical realm. ( Austin C Ukachi)
The man was crippled from birth. The limbs of any person crippled from birth are badly shrunken and deformed; so this man’s legs would certainly might have been badly deformed. No medicine or operation of the day would have restored such a deformity. The crippled man hoped to get some little money from Peter and John.
But they had no money to give him. What they had with them at that particular moment was far better than money. They had the name that is above every name. And in the name of Jesus, they commanded the man to rise and walk! And they took him by the right hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle received strength. That day, the supernatural invaded the natural! We have to take the necessary steps of faith when the occasion demands so. When faced with desperate situations, we need to call for heavenly backup. Jesus has complete power and authority to do exceedingly above what we can think or imagine!
