1Pe 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
_According to Merrian – Webster dictionary, to mend is to “repair, patch, put into good order something that is injured, damaged, or defective. Repair implies making whole or sound something broken or torn. The issues at hand might seem to be life threatening and may seem to suggest that “our fate has already been sealed”.
But our God is a God of all grace. He will give us sufficient grace to help us cope with any challenge that may pop up in our lives. Our troubles are light and momentary. No matter what our situation is, no matter what our need could be, God’s grace is sufficient for us!
When we follow Christ, suffering is inevitable, unavoidable and inescapable. Suffering as a christian is not a matter of choice. The good news is that we have a physician who is able to mend, repair, put us in good order and make us whole once again. God is all – sufficient for any contingency that may come our way.
