Ecc 10:10 “If the axe is dull and it’s end unsharpened , more strength is needed, but skill will bring success”
If the axe has lost it’s cutting edge, and the owner fail to Sharpen it, he will be forced to apply more strength to make it work. Wisdom dictates that the axe owner should whet his axe and spare his strength.
Without the necessary skills and knowledge, one may be found ” forcing matters “and hence struggling to remain relevant both in the christian ministries and in the job market. It is prudent that all believers acquire necessary skills not only in the area of their gifting, but also in the ” tent making”.
With the rapidly changing technology, believers must not be left behind if they will influence the “market place”. We must change with the changing times. Christians should never be unskilled. Those who need to go back to school should do so. Those who need to take short courses should not delay. let us sharpen our axes. Remember that every day is a brand new opportunity to recharge, renew, and refine yourself. Devote some moments into sharpening your axe instead of chopping away doggedly: start working smarter instead of longer.
