like those who go down into the pit. My son, do not walk in the way with them. Keep your foot from their path.
The power of influence has been associated with the young and especially the teenage. Ironically, this is not the case. keen observation proofs that any person can be persuaded either to the right or to the wrong. Solomon offers counsel to his dear son on this matter. He warns of the persuasive tongue of the evil towards wrong doing. He tells him not to consent or walk in their ways,for the repercussions of their association outweighs the benefits.
Its easy to be carried away by wrong company especially when the binding glue is so strong to detach. However, avoidance of their ways as well as rejecting their offers promises a better future. It is possible for the children of even good parents to fall into the companionship of evil men. When this happens, they get into a slippery path that may lead to violence, robbery and crime .We must be very careful when making friends, for friendships have a powerful effect on our behavior and can lead either to great good or to much evil.(pastors study bible)
