1 Sa 2:1 And Hannah prayed and said:
“My heart rejoices in the Lord; My horn is exalted in the Lord. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.
Psa 30:11: “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.”
He who laughs last, laughs best” is an idiom that means the person who is in control of a situation in the end is the most successful, even if others seemed to have the advantage at first. It’s used to encourage patience and perseverance, and to warn against celebrating something that isn’t a done deal yet. The idiom is related to the expression “to have the last laugh”, which means to succeed or win after being doubted or laughed at by others. The person who has the last laugh is usually the underdog, the one who seemed to be losing at the end.
Hannah’s barrenness was a significant social stigma, especially in a culture where a woman’s worth was often measured by her ability to bear children. Her rival, Peninah, mocked her, adding to her sorrow. But Hannah’s persistence in prayer and her vow to dedicate her son to God if granted one show her deep faith. Her eventual triumph reflects God’s faithfulness and sets the stage for Samuel’s critical role as a prophet, priest, and judge in Israel( Videobible.com)
Like Hannah, you may have been subjected to ridicule, being laughed at or even being doubted by all and sundry. A season of laughter and thanksgiving is beckoning. Satan may be laughing when we fall, but we will get the last laugh on him. At the end, we will win.
