1Co 2:14 “But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” — (NKJV)
In life, survival is often determined by instincts. Animals in the wild rely on their instincts to detect danger, find food and protect themselves. Similarly, as believers, our spiritual instincts—our ability to hear God, discern truth, and walk in wisdom—set us apart (distinct) and prevent us from falling away (extinct). When we fail to develop these instincts, we risk spiritual decline. Spiritual instincts is the ability to sense and respond to God’s direction through the Holy Spirit.
A Christian with strong spiritual instincts stands out in a world of compromise. He will never conform to the standards of the world but will be transformed by the renewing of the mind. A renewed mind helps us recognize God’s will when others are confused. Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm. Daniel’s spiritual wisdom made him distinct in a foreign land(Dan 6:3).
Spiritual instincts help us navigate through challenges, avoid traps, and walk in victory. A Christian with discernment and wisdom will always stand out and thrive, while those who neglect their spiritual growth risk fading away. When people ignore their spiritual instincts, they fall into deception, sin, and destruction. Without Spiritual Instincts, You risk extinction.
