𝘾𝙊𝙉𝙁𝙄𝙍𝙈𝙀𝘿: 𝙔𝙊𝙐𝙍 𝘼𝘾𝘾𝙊𝙐𝙉𝙏 𝙃𝘼𝙎 𝘽𝙀𝙀𝙉 𝘾𝙍𝙀𝘿𝙄𝙏𝙀𝘿 𝙒𝙄𝙏𝙃 𝙍𝙄𝙂𝙃𝙏𝙀𝙊𝙐𝙎𝙉𝙀𝙎𝙎

Psalm 106:31 (NIV) – “This was credited to him as righteousness for endless generations to come.”

Imagine checking your balance and seeing this divine message: “Credited with righteousness.” That’s what happened with Phinehas. His act of zeal wasn’t self-righteousness—it reflected God’s heart. Scripture repeats this pattern: “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Rom 4:3, NIV). Righteousness is not earned; it’s credited by faith.

This is the great exchange—our sin for Christ’s righteousness. As Luther wrote, “Our sins are no longer ours but Christ’s, and His righteousness is no longer His but ours.” “God made him who had no sin to be sin for us…” (2 Cor 5:21, NIV). At the cross, our debt was cleared, and we received heaven’s credit—completely unearned, fully ours.

You don’t have to strive to earn it. “Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God…” (Rom 5:1, NIV). Your spiritual account is full—not with your works, but with Christ’s. Walk in that confidence. You are justified, credited, and covered—for eternity.
