Hebrews 10:23 β βLet us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)β
The book of Hebrews was written to believers tempted to let go under pressure. Persecution, fear, and disappointment clouded their confidence. Yet the writer urges: hold fast. Donβt let go. The hope we profess is not wishful thinkingβit is anchored in a faithful God. When the storm rages, itβs not the strength of the boat but the trustworthiness of the anchor that holds.
Abraham held to hope when all reason said otherwise. βAgainst all hope, Abraham in hope believedβ¦β (Rom. 4:18). His faith was not in what he saw, but in what God said. Joseph, chained and forgotten, still held fast to the dreams God gave him. Hope doesnβt deny painβit outlasts it. Because God cannot lie, hope in Him is never in vain (Titus 1:2).
So donβt loosen your gripβtighten it. Let your confession rise louder than your fear. Hold fast when itβs hard, when itβs silent, when nothing makes senseβbecause He who promised is still faithful. Speak His Word even when your voice shakes. Keep declaring His goodness, His power, His promises. Your faith is not in vain. Heaven hears, and the One who called you is watching over His word to perform it. Hold fastβand donβt let go.
