Est 6:1 That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king.
Haman had ordered gallows be made fifty cubits high ( seventy five feet) so that he could use it to have Mordecai hanged on it for failing to show fear in his presence or bow before him. The following morning, he was to ask to have Mordecai hanged on it.
But that night the king could not sleep. He ordered the chronicles of the kingdom be read before him and he found there the records concerning the discovery of treason by two eunuchs that was made by Mordecai. He inquired whether Mordecai was rewarded and he was answered in the negative.
At that very time, Haman arrived in order to request the King’s permission to hang Mordecai. When the king asked him what should be done to the person who the king decided to honour, Haman, presuming that he was the one earmarked for honour , prescribed an elaborate kingly ceremony. ( Est 6:6-9) To his surprise, he was ordered to do exactly that to Mordecai.
Christian friends, when men plan evil against us, Jehovah is out there planning for our good. When men plan for our downfall, Yahweh is planning for our promotion. All the plans the devil has against us have been nullified in Jesus name!
