Lev 26:7,8 You will chase your enemies, and they shall fall by the sword before you.
Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall by the sword before you.
These were some of the promises of reward made to the Israelites if they kept God’s commandments. They would enjoy great Peace at home and if they pursued their enemies, God would grant them success. Five of them would get the courage to attack , chase and defeat a hundred. One hundred would attack an army of ten thousand soldiers and win! What a promise!
Was this possible? Jonathan did it, he killed some twenty men in an area of about half an acre ( 1Sa 14:12). Josheb – Basshebeth raised his spear against eight hundred men, whom he killed in one encounter. ( 1Sam 23:8). Eleazar son of Dodai stood his ground against a Philistine army and won. ( 1Sam 23:9)
What we need today is high capacity believers who can single handedly, or with a few others perform great tasks. We need believers with the capacity to deal with demons, powers and principalities. We need others with great capacity to organize big crusades and soul winning strategists. We also need kingdom financiers ,great professionals, businessmen & women and the celebrities who will ensure that all the kingdom functions are properly facilitated.
Dan 11:32b…… but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
